It's Nice To Meet You!
Hi, I’m Jason and I have been photographing weddings for years. Each wedding is unique and filled with some of the most beautiful moments we can experience in life. It is my honor to capture all of the special details and make them them last a lifetime.
What Do Couples Have To Say?
-
What areas do you cover for wedding photography?I am based in Santa Cruz California and predominantly offer my services from the San Fransisco Bay to Northern Big Sur and all coastal areas in between, I also offer my services inland up to San Jose & Mountain View. For destinations outside these areas, travel fees may apply, but I love capturing weddings in new places!

Email: My email is Jason@JasonAbrahamPhotography.com, where I aim to respond promptly. Scheduled Call: For a more convenient and guaranteed connection, you can book a time to speak with me here. This variety of options ensures we can find a method that works best for your needs, keeping communication smooth and efficient.
-
How far in advance should I book your services for my wedding?Ideally, booking 6-12 months before your wedding date ensures I can reserve your special day. However, I do take on last-minute weddings when availability allows, so feel free to reach out even if your event is closer.
-
Do you offer engagement sessions?Yes, I highly recommend engagement sessions as they're a great way for us to get comfortable working together before the big day. They can be included in some packages or booked separately.
-
What's included in your wedding photography packages?A set number of hours of coverage on the wedding day A pre-wedding consultation High-resolution images with full print rights A private online gallery for viewing and sharing Optional extras like engagement sessions, post wedding sessions, & bridal portrait sessions. Please take a look at my Current Packages
-
Can we choose our photos or do you edit them all?I curate and edit the best images from your day to ensure a cohesive and high-quality collection. If you have specific images you want, we can discuss that in your consultation or I can consider them during editing.
-
Can we meet before we book you?Absolutely! I offer a complimentary consultation where we can discuss your vision, go over packages, and see if we're a good fit. This can be done over the phone.
-
What if it rains on our wedding day?Rain can add a magical element to your photos. I will always do my best to accomodate your requests, but if the weather is a risk to my equipment I am happy to create a rain check if indoor options or outdoor tent options are unavailable.
-
Do you use a flash?Yes, I use a flash when it's needed to enhance your photographs. My approach involves capturing a variety of shots, both with and without flash, to offer a diverse and natural-looking gallery. I am equipped with an array of lenses that perform exceptionally well in low light, which allows me to minimize flash use when possible. However, as the day transitions into night, the necessity for additional lighting increases. During the day, I often employ the flash as a fill light to ensure your images are properly exposed, adding depth and detail where natural light alone might not suffice. As evening activities unfold, I rely more on flash to capture the vibrancy and atmosphere of the moment, ensuring that the joy and beauty of your event are not lost to the darkness. My goal is to use flash in a way that feels seamless and enhances rather than overwhelms the natural ambiance of your celebration.
-
Do you shoot video? While my primary expertise lies in photography, I do not possess the professional skillset required to shoot and edit high-quality wedding videos. However, I excel in collaborating with other professionals, be it a second shooter or a dedicated videographer, to ensure your day is captured comprehensively. For very intimate settings like elopements, if you're looking for something simple yet meaningful, I can offer to record the exchange of vows using lavalier microphones to capture clear audio and a 4K iPhone for video. This setup, while not a professional video service, can produce surprisingly good results for those moments you want to keep simple and personal. If you're considering more extensive video coverage, I would recommend hiring a professional videographer who can meet your needs.
-
What's your policy on meals during the wedding? If the wedding lasts more than 6 hours, I kindly request a meal for myself (and my second shooter, if applicable) to keep the energy up for capturing your day.
-
What forms of payment do you accept?I offer multiple payment options to make securing your wedding photography as convenient as possible. The most popular methods include Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and cash. Among these, Zelle and cash are particularly preferred due to their low / no processing fees, which helps keep costs down for both of us. When it's time to make a deposit or the full payment, I'll provide you with my account details. I can share this information via a link or a QR code for an easy, secure, and reliable transfer. This way, you can choose the payment method that suits you best, ensuring a smooth transaction process.
-
How do we secure your services?Once we agree on a package, a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit will secure your date with me.

I arrive at your event with my equipment fully charged, memory cards packed, and lenses cleaned – ensuring everything is in top condition to capture your memories flawlessly. I take my craft to heart, always striving to go above and beyond for my clients and couples. -
How long until we see our photographs?I completely understand the eagerness to see the results after our special day together. Here's what you can expect: Engagement Sessions and Pre or Post-Wedding Shoots: These images are a priority for quick turnaround. Typically, you'll have a fully edited gallery ready for viewing and sharing within 2-4 weeks from our shoot date. This allows you to enjoy and share your moments without much wait. Weddings and Elopements: I know how special your wedding day is, and the excitement to relive those moments through photographs is immense. If you're eager for some quick glimpses, I can prepare and share a selection of some of the best shots with you within just a few days after your wedding. This way, you can start sharing your joy with friends and family. For the complete experience, the full gallery of edited photos will generally be available for viewing and sharing within 6-12 weeks from your wedding date. This time allows me to give each image the attention it deserves, ensuring that the final collection is nothing short of spectacular. My goal is always to deliver quality images in a timely manner, balancing your excitement with the meticulous care your memories deserve.
-
What is your shooting style and approach? You'll often find me with my eye glued to my camera, constantly on the lookout for those bursts of good energy, candid moments, and the exquisite details that truly tell the story of your day. My approach is centered around capturing the natural, organic flow of events rather than micromanaging every shot. I believe in letting the day unfold in its genuine way, working with the moments as they come to create authentic imagery. While I let the day's narrative guide my lens, I'm proactive about enhancing those key moments. I offer suggestions when I see an opportunity to elevate a photo, gently guiding you towards poses or positions that will capture the essence of your celebration in the best light. My goal is to blend seamlessly into your event, capturing those spontaneous, heartfelt interactions without disrupting the natural progression of your day. This allows me to document not just the planned highlights but also the in-between moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.
-
What is your editing style and can I request more editing after the finalized gallery?Great photos can always be enhanced, but my philosophy is to improve without overdoing it. My editing style focuses on maintaining the authenticity of the moment while ensuring images are true, rich, vibrant, and crisp. I apply light touchups to enhance lighting, tone the colors accurately, crop, and straighten images as needed. For those key shots, I might also remove any distracting elements from the background to keep the focus on you and your story. Each photo in the gallery you receive has been individually curated and refined with care to reflect the beauty and emotion of your day. Additional Editing Requests: Once the gallery is finalized, I am happy to accommodate requests for further touch-ups on a limited basis. I can review and refine 1-5 individual photos at no extra cost, doing my best to meet your specific requests. If there's a need for extensive re-editing or adjustments to many photos, we would need to discuss additional pricing due to the time and effort involved. My aim is to capture images that look as perfect as possible on the day itself, minimizing the need for extensive post-production work. This approach ensures that your memories are preserved with integrity and beauty, while also being mindful of the time and resources involved in further editing.
